Yes — GIVU is completely free. Some premium receipt themes can be unlocked by inviting friends or in the future through optional purchases.
No — GIVU is a tracker, not a payment app. It records who owes what so you never forget. You settle up however you normally do (cash, bank transfer, etc.).
GIVU supports JPY ¥, EUR €, USD $, GBP £, CHF Fr, NZD NZ$, AUD A$, CNY ¥, and TRY ₺. You can set a base currency for your balance overview and mix currencies freely within a friendship.
Instead of sending a debt request and waiting for confirmation, you can generate a QR code on the spot. When your friend scans it, the debt is instantly confirmed and logged — perfect for splitting bills in real time.
Yes. GIVU uses Firebase Authentication and Firestore with security rules that ensure only you and your added friends can see your debt data. We don't sell your data or show ads.
GIVU is an iOS app. It's currently in development and will be available on the App Store soon.
